We at Down Syndrome Ireland respect your right to privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to outline how we deal with any personal data you provide to us while visiting this website. This Statement applies only to www.downsyndrome.ie, the website of Down Syndrome Ireland.

Down Syndrome Ireland will store any personal information collected from this website where you provide information to us to request a service, book an event, make a donation or purchase, become a volunteer or provide information as a member/member’s family. Personal data may be stored for future communication where the website user provides permission to do so. Information will not be supplied to any third party for marketing or communication purposes.  We may share data with our customer relations system partner for the purpose of developing and maintaining our database only.  We will also share data with third party service providers where you have requested us to do so for an event, activity or service.

Non-personal data:

A website user’s IP address is automatically logged by our web server. IP addresses are used to observe users’ interests in this website (number of visits, etc).

They are not cross-referenced with any other information such that an individual person could be identified. We use this non-personal data in an aggregate form to get a better understanding of where our visitors come from and to help us better design and organise our website.

E-mail addresses and/or other contact details which users voluntarily provide in order to:

– Request information from Down Syndrome Ireland.

If you register for a conference, fundraising event, request information, or provide feedback, you will be asked to provide Personal Data such as your name, postal address, e-mail address.

If you wish to make an online donation, you must provide us with your name, postal address, email-address, and the amount of your donation. We may use this Personal Data to issue you with an official Thank You letter and/or receipt. We may also use the information to update you on occasion about how your donation is helping the work of Down Syndrome Ireland and inform you about future events, unless you indicate you do not wish to receive such communications. If you choose not to opt-in, your donation will be considered an anonymous donation, and you will not be contacted by us.

When making a donation or purchase, your credit or debit card payment details will be securely managed by our card processor www.stripe.com who will perform the transaction on our behalf. At no time will your card details be stored.

Disclosure

Down Syndrome Ireland does not use or disclose information about your individual visits to our website or other information that you voluntarily give us, such as your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number, to any third parties except for the use of completing a donation or transaction that you initiate or developing and maintaining our customer relationship system.

We may provide non-personal data to third parties in aggregate form. For example, we might inform third parties regarding the number of unique users who visit our website, the amount of visits to the site per month or the activities that visitors to our website engage in while on our website. We will not disclose your personal data to third parties.

Right of Access
