Aligning Disability Services with the UNCRPD

People with Down syndrome have rights

The government should help you by providing services and supports

In Ireland, sometimes it is hard to get some of the services you need.

There is a group of TDs from all parties called the Committee on Disability Matters

The Committee have written a report about what the Government needs to do better.

The Government needs to do lots of things better for people with disabilities.

Some of these are:

  • Therapy
  • Education
  • Day services
  • Transport
  • Respite
  • Supporting people to make their own choices
