SOS Feeding Course

Our Down Syndrome Cork branch is hosting a Zoom course on Feeding approaches for children with Down syndrome, it is facilitated by Mide Kearney, Speech and Language Therapist.
Are mealtimes with your child stressful?
Is your child’s diet limited to just a few foods?
Does your child have difficulty with eating different consistencies?
Then you’re welcome to attend the adapted SOS Approach to Feeding Course; Developed by Dr. Kay Twomey. The Sequential Oral Sensory approach is a way to address challenging feeding behaviours in children.
At the course, we will talk about the red flags and the 10 myths of feeding, specifics of feeding and children with Down syndrome and give you a series of strategies to help support your children to learn to accept a variety of foods.
  • Date: November 25th 2020, 2-3:30pm.
  • Cost: 10 euro per screen.
  • Location: This will be facilitated via zoom and a recording will be made available after the event.
