DSI Members Celebrate Dublin Zoo Training Graduation

Four members of Down Syndrome Ireland have graduated from their training in Dublin Zoo.

Fintan, Shauna, Lia and Liam spent six weeks working in the gift shop in Dublin Zoo learning valuable work skills.

The graduation took place in the stunning Haughton House inside the zoo, where friends, family and team members joined in the celebrations.

Christoph Schwitzer, director of Dublin Zoo spoke extremely highly of the graduates, saying: “Your contributions have been invaluable, you’ve taken on a wide range of tasks… always with a smile. And your unwavering commitment has been really brilliant.”

This partnership is set to expand, fostering more opportunities to dismantle barriers and empower adults with Down syndrome to thrive in the workplace.
