DSI Members Take Chocolate Factory Tour

Thank you to the wonderful management team from Mondelez for an insightful and fantastic tour of their chocolate making factory facilities in Dublin 5, taking the tour where Down Syndrome Ireland Dublin Branch members Conor Byrne and Alice Mc Grath with her sister Gail accompanying them was Corporate Fundraising Manager Kathleen Fitzsimons and Corporate Fundraising Executive Aidan McAuliffe.

The group were warmly welcomed by Office Manager Suzanne O’Hara from Mondelez who spoke with our young adults about their educational journey – Conor Byrne updated the team on his education path that helped him find employment. He also spoke about his hobbies, one of them being Power Lifting, he is very fit and a pure gentleman.  He was very popular with the Mondelez team and they gave him a great round of applause for his brilliant presentation.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Factory Tour, Brenda our guide gave us a fantastic insight into how chocolate is made, everyone was very hungry leaving the factory, the smell of chocolate was delicious.

Thank you so much to Suzanne and Brenda for organising the tour for our members. It was a brilliant opportunity for our young adults and the team at Mondelez to talk about employment.

It was a great experience for all and we are very proud to be a charity partner with Mondelez.
