Hold a Go for Gold Day for Down Syndrome Ireland, marking our 50th year providing support and services nationally to people with Down syndrome and their families across Ireland.

Go For Gold for DSI – Corporate Challenge

We are asking our corporate partners to join us in celebration of our 50th anniversary this year by hosting a workplace fundraiser and bringing out the friendly competition within your team.

This can be any activity of your choice, a sporting challenge, a trivia challenge, a ‘Longest to Go Without’ Challenge, a movie marathon, the possibilities are endless! We can provide you with a bank of fundraising ideas, as well as a consultation meeting ahead of your fundraising efforts to help plan your initiatives and answer any questions. We can also give a short presentation to your team around our work here in Down Syndrome Ireland and the impact of your funds raised.

We will promote your support via our social media channels, allowing your employees to showcase your company’s support. For the Go for Gold corporate challenge we recommend setting up a virtual fundraising page with iDonate, for any support or information needed please contact Phaedra@downsyndrome.ie

You can register below to receive your pack (which includes balloons and stickers) and while you are waiting for your pack to arrive you can use this poster to advertise your Go For Gold day or print this poster to help spread awareness of our Go For Gold campaign!

Go For Gold for DSI – Schools

We are asking schools to host a Fundraiser for DSI this year as one of their end-of-year celebrations. Set up a Go For Gold Sports Day or Go For Gold Hero Day, using the Down Syndrome Ireland branded materials we provide to decorate the school, and award a ‘medal’ sticker to everyone involved.

Each fundraising group will receive a 50th Anniversary Certificate of Appreciation for their fundraising.

We have a short video here which reflects on how education helps our members and what they hope to achieve with their learning:

Download our information sheet for your classroom or community group and let’s get everyone talking to raise awareness and improve their understanding of disability and the importance of inclusion.

To help kick off your day we have provided some fun downloadables:
