Parent and Down Syndrome Ireland member Geraldine Fennelly (Pictured right) from Waterford recently spoke with Matt Cooper on Today FM’s The Last Word about her son Sean who is 11 and attends a mainstream school in Waterford.
Geraldine was joined by our national Speech and Language Advisor Nicola Hart (pictured left). They explained why this year’s HB Fundays Campaign with HB Hazelbrook Farm is so important to raise vital funds to support children with Down syndrome in school.
Geraldine also spoke about her older son MJ, who is 13 and also has Down syndrome and attends a special school in Waterford.
This year, we aim to raise €350,000 through our #DSIHBFUNDAYS campaign to provide educational tools and support for teachers and parents across Ireland, ensuring the best education journey for children with Down syndrome.
You can help us raise vital funds by hosting your own HB FUNDAYS Party this summer! Find out all you need to know here!
