Leitrim & West Cavan members Connie Smyth and her dad Brian, attended The President’s Garden Party & Concert at Áras an Uachtaráin. Both Connie and Brian were nominated to represent Down Syndrome Ireland by President Higgins.
Connie, who also recently took part in the Special Olympics with the Connaught Equestrian Team, enjoyed the evening very much, including meeting President Higgins’s dogs!
Thank you to Connie and Brian for representing us so well. President Higgins acknowledged the contribution to Irish society by the hard work, efforts and commitment from the many people across Ireland who contribute to the successes of the organisations of which he is Patron, including Down Syndrome Ireland.
