Parent appears in front of Oireachtas to discuss Carers Allowance

With thanks to Family Carers Ireland, DSI member and parent Anna Buday appeared in front of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Social Protection, Community and Rural Development and the Islands this week to discuss Carers Allowance. DSI also continues to lobby to increase the CA and abolish means-testing for the allowance.

Anna alongside her beautiful daughter Esther spoke with the Ireland AM team on World Down Syndrome Day – Anna discussed Esther’s diagnosis, coping after her birth during lockdown, and the current lack of supports going forward for her daughter, and other children with Down syndrome.
