Post-doctoral researcher looking to hear your story…

Áine Sperrin is a post-doctoral researcher with The Re(al) Productive Justice project in NUI Galway. The project is collecting stories from disabled people about their experiences of fertility, contraception, abortion, pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, parenting, adoption, and fostering.

The project allows people to tell their stories on these topics if they wish to do so. She has found that the experiences of adults with intellectual disabilities on the issue of abortion are missing from the project so far. Stories are being collected through a conversation with a researcher using an online platform or over the phone. She will assist with accessibility requirements to enable participation in the project.
