The recent proposal in relation to the establishment of ‘special education centres’ is a focus of our ongoing engagement with Minister Josepha Madigan and officials from the Department of Education.
We issued a survey to members to ensure that we have the most up to date information relating to our members and their school placements; and to ascertain their thoughts on the proposed special education centres. 207 responses were returned from members in 24 counties and we are very grateful to all who participated.
The information provided informs our future discussions with the Minister and Department officials.
