Supporting a Student with Down Syndrome in Post-Primary School Conference

A lot of people braved the November weather to take part in the Supporting a Student with Down Syndrome in Post-Primary School Conference.

The aim of this conference was to provide support, advice and options to teachers, SNA’s parents or other professional bodies that are supporting a student with Down syndrome. Like most teens transitioning into adult life can be difficult, having the right support structure and guidance can be a key factor to future life goals. Topics at the conference ranged from understanding and addressing specific learning needs, to moving from post primary school and transitioning into adult education.

A number of  conferences are scheduled for the coming months, you can find out more here: https://downsyndrome.ie//eventscalendar/category/conferences/

Thanks again to all those who came!
