The team arrived home with a fantastic win of 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals – lots more amazing news as 37 personal best times where achieved at the event, which allows the entire team to qualify for the World Games in Turkey next year.

We and the Irish Down Syndrome Sporting Organisation are so very proud of all the team members and on their brilliant success – A big thank you to their coaches, chaperones and Head of Delegation Aine Yap.

The team included:

Katie Troy (Offaly), Mei-Lin Yap (Dublin0, Maeve Phillips (Dublin), Anna Hennessy (Donegal), David Hogg, Kevin Kennedy and Fintan Bray all from Westmeath, Robbie English (Kilkenny), Peadar Connolly (Newry), Eoghan Ashe (Kildare) and Eoghan Tully (Dublin).
