Understanding Behaviour and Using Behavioural Principles to Support Learning

This webinar aims to introduce or refresh professionals’ knowledge of some of the principles of behaviour.  The training will include theory but this will be discussed in a way that is functional and can be applied to supporting people with Down syndrome to learn and grow; developing skills that are important and functional for them. Tips and ideas will be shared for understanding behaviour and how to use behavioural principles to support learning ensuring that the person is always at the centre of any intervention or decision making.

The webinar would be useful primarily for professionals working directly with service users/clients, but anyone can attend who wants to learn about behaviour and how to understand behaviour.

Facilitator: Sonya Gaffney, Senior Speech and Language Therapist and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) B.Sc. (Clin. Lang.) P. Grad. Dip. ABA, M.Sc ABA
