Woodie’s Heroes is back with its annual fundraiser, and we are excited to announce that we have been chosen as one of the charities for 2026!

Maisie Flanagan, age 6 from Dublin, is a kind and caring girl, who lights up every room she enters!

Thanks to ongoing support from Down Syndrome Ireland, Maisie and her family have accessed vital Early Years services including speech and language therapy, while also connecting with a network of families who truly understand their journey.

Maisie’s Mum Emer says, “Speech and language has probably been the biggest support for us. You could really see Maisie’s development happening over time. Even in the last month alone, her speech has come on so much more. It’s not even just for Maisie – it’s for us as parents too. Being able to talk to other families, share experiences and learn from one another has been so important. They’ve always been there for us, and we’ve built such a strong connection with everyone involved.”

Since 2015, the campaign has raised over €4.7 million for Irish children’s charities thanks to the generosity of Woodie’s customers, colleagues, and suppliers. The charities are chosen each year by Woodie’s colleagues and 100% of the money raised goes directly to the charities and is divided evenly among them.

Now in its twelfth year, Woodie’s Heroes is the annual fundraiser in support of Irish children’s charities and this year Down Syndrome Ireland, Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, Childline by ISPCC and Cancer Fund for Children are set to benefit.
