Decision Making Support for Adults with Down syndrome – June 16th
We will be hosting an informative webinar with the Decision Support Service (DSS) on June 16th at 6pm. This session will help adults with Down syndrome better understand their rights and the different types of arrangements that are available if necessary to support decision-making in their lives.
This is an opportunity for adults with Down syndrome to learn more about their rights, making decisions about their lives, different decision-support arrangements, when arrangements may be helpful, and how to access information and support from the DSS.
We encourage adults with Down syndrome, family members, supporters, and professionals to attend.

Supporting Grief Through Nonverbal Communication – June 17th
Following on from our recent grief webinar with Denis McGuire, we are pleased to invite families to a gentle and practical online session focused on supporting communication around grief and loss potentially using Lámh signs and other forms of nonverbal communication on June 17th at 8pm.
The session will include discussion, demonstrations of useful signs, and opportunities for families to reflect on ways to support communication during times of grief and change. Our aim is to create an informal and welcoming space where families can learn together, share experiences, and feel supported.

Understanding the Decision Support Service – June 23rd
We will be hosting an informative webinar with the Decision Support Service (DSS) on June 23rd at 6pm. This session is for parents, siblings, guardians, professionals, and supporters of people with Down syndrome.
This session will focus on understanding the different decision support arrangements available under the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 (ADMCA) , including how and when arrangements may be made, the process involved and how such arrangements operate in practice. The webinar will also explore many of the practical questions and concerns families and supporters are currently facing.
