The Kilkenny branch of Down Syndrome Ireland is a voluntary association consisting of parents and families working to improve the lives of, and act as a support to families of those with Down syndrome. We offer a range of activities, outings, services and supports in Kilkenny.
We are funded through donation and local fundraisers throughout the year. Events include Gymboree play and music sessions, Summer day out at Nore Valley Park, Therapeutic Horse-riding, Lámh & Numicon education courses for both families and childcare worker and teachers. We assist with the payment of a private Speech and Language Therapist to carry out an assessment on our members.
