DSI teams up with the Electoral Commission ahead of Election
Down Syndrome Ireland and the Electoral Commission have teamed up once again on the upcoming election. Next Friday, 24th of October, a vote will take place for the next Uachtaran na hEireann. The candidates are Heather Humphreys and Catherine Connolly.
A few weeks ago, Kildare member Conor O’Donnell and Further Education and Training Manager of DSI, Sinéad Flynn joined Sarah and Ryan from the Electoral Commission to discuss the Presidential Election and to give members valuable information on voting. You can watch that webinar here.
The Electoral Commission also released an easy read document on next week’s election. You can read that here.
This is not Conor O’Donnell’s first time working with the Electoral Commission. In 2024, Conor appeared in ads on television for the Commission. Conor is a great advocate for people with Down syndrome voting.
