Library Clubs for Adults with Down syndrome

Down Syndrome Ireland is delighted with the success of its national book club initiative, in collaboration with libraries across the country.

This initiative offers a wonderful opportunity to bring persons with disabilities together to enjoy books, share stories and build friendships.

Book Clubs are not just about enjoying reading material, but also about promoting communication skills, encouraging an interest in literacy and building confidence.

Libraries play a key role in fostering a sense of community and belonging, by hosting these engaging clubs.
