Down Syndrome Ireland and Transport for Ireland (TFI) have teamed up to make transport easier for people with Down syndrome.
Sinéad Flynn and Aisling Brown on DSI’s Further Education and Training team, have been working closely with TFI to create Easy to Read guides on the newest bus routes.
After feedback from the National Advisory Council (NAC) on the difficulty for people with Down syndrome accessing transport, the team began this project to make these guides.
Members of the NAC and RAC also approved the Easy to Read guides before they were published.
