The Power of Community: Christmas Tree Collection 2026

Fergal Power and his army of wonderful volunteers are back this year to collect Christmas trees across the Booterstown area in Dublin.
Last year, the collection raised an amazing €24,000 for Down Syndrome Ireland, and brings the total collected throughout the years to more than €50,000.
Last January, the team collected over 1000 Christmas trees in the South Dublin area.
The funds will help further Down Syndrome Ireland’s mission to support people of all ages with Down syndrome across Ireland.

This includes our Employment, Early Years and Speech and Language therapy initiatives.

Early therapeutic intervention for children with Down syndrome is crucial. Speech and language therapy is an important intervention, helping promote cognitive and social development. Without continual therapy from 6 months old the ability for children to access mainstream education and learn at the same level as their peers becomes a real challenge.
With only 18% State funding, Down Syndrome Ireland relies on collections like this to continue our work. Every euro is making a difference, helping provide services that support people throughout their lives.
Please help us continue our vital work by supporting the campaign to fund our National programmes helping people with Down syndrome at all stages in their lives reach their full potential.
Special Thanks to the volunteers who helped the Power family over the last few years.
