About Us
Down Syndrome Kilkenny is a voluntary association consisting of parents and families working to improve the lives of, and act as a support to families of those with Down Syndrome. We are run on a voluntary basis by our members and offer a range of activities, outings, services and supports in Kilkenny.
We are funded through donation and local fundraisers throughout the year. This year we had Gymboree play and music sessions, Summer day out at Nore Valley Park, Therapeutic Horse-riding, Lámh & Numicon education courses for both families & childcare worker and teachers. We assist with the payment of a private speech & language therapist to carry out an assessment on our members.
