ADDITIONAL BRANCH SERVICES

Education and Therapy

  • Summer Tutor Programme

We run a summer tutor programme where school children can avail of up to 8 hours one-to-one teaching over July and August for a nominal fee with the branch paying most of the cost. We also subsidise respite care and counselling for all family members, not just the person with DS. While we do not directly provide therapies, such as Physiotherapy, OT, SLT we do offer families a budget up to which limit we will reimburse them on presentation of receipts. This budget is reviewed annually.

Life Skills and Social Groups

  • Group for teenagers and young adults is held on Thursday evenings.
  • Drama and social skills for primary school age children is held on Friday evenings.
