ADDITIONAL BRANCH SERVICES

Education and Therapy

We run a summer tutor programme where school children can avail of up to 8 hours one-to-one teaching over July and August for a nominal fee with the branch paying most of the cost.

We subsidise respite care and counselling for all family members, not just the person with DS.

While we do not directly provide therapies such as Physio, OT, or SLT, we do offer families a budget up to which limit we will reimburse them on presentation of receipts. This budget is reviewed annually.  Members may also apply for reimbursement of costs for other activities, such as gymnastics, horseriding/equine assisted therapy, dance, etc.

Life Skills and Social Groups

  • Group for teenagers and young adults is held on Thursday evenings.
  • Drama and social skills for primary school age children is held on Friday evenings.
  • 321Tots Toddler group for pre-schoolers is held on alternate Sunday mornings.
