DSI member on RTÉ Nationwide

This week on RTÉ One Nationwide programme, we got to follow a little boy with Down syndrome called Cian Shovlin, who is the first child with Down syndrome to attend St. Conal’s National School in Donegal.

Cian participates in classroom life using Lámh Sign and technology, his presence has inspired fellow classmates to not only learn Lámh but to also help raise funds for children and people with Down syndrome. In the broadcast, we get to follow our good friends in the Shovlin family as Cian’s classmates and teachers in St. Conal’s National School throw their own HB Fundays party to help raise vital funds to support Cian and other students with Down syndrome across Ireland

And a huge thank you to HB Hazelbrook Farm for its continued support of Down Syndrome Ireland through our HB Fundays campaign which calls on people to raise much needed funds for Down Syndrome Ireland by hosting a party with the delicious ice cream!
