The Tour de Munster cycle challenge returns for 15th year

The Tour de Munster in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland is back in the saddle for a 15th year.

The annual 600km spin around the beautiful southern province raises vital funds for our Munster branches, as well as creating priceless memories for everyone involved.

This year’s event will start and finish in Cork, with the Tour running from August 8th to August 11th, and blazing its trail through all six counties of Munster.

Claire Wright, interim CEO of DSI, said: “We are delighted to see the fantastic partnership between Tour de Munster and DSI Munster branches enter into its 15th year and are honoured to be the main beneficiary.

Every cent raised makes a difference to our members, ensuring they have access to the vital supports and services they require. Paul Sheridan, the driving force behind Tour de Munster has created a wonderful community with our local branch committees who work tirelessly to engage local support and contribute greatly to the ongoing success of the Tour. We look forward to meeting faces old and new on the road to Tour de Munster 2024.”

The success of the Tour depends on the selfless volunteers who shake buckets, track down jersey sponsors and help out in various ways.

If you’d like to get involved in those efforts, contact your local Munster branch, or email organiser Paul Sheridan on paul.sheridan08@gmail.com.
